Regular check-ups for cats and dogs are very important for both early diagnosis and preventive care. Our furry friends often do not show signs of illness until the condition has reached an advanced stage.

Why Are Check-Ups Important?

- Early diagnosis: Diseases such as kidney, liver, heart, thyroid and diabetes often progress silently at the beginning. - Vaccination and parasite program: Updated during regular check-ups. - Oral and dental health: Tartar and gum diseases can be detected early. - Weight control: Obesity or weight loss can be identified quickly. - Age-related monitoring: As pets get older, joint problems, organ dysfunction and tumor risks increase.

How Often Should Check-Ups Be Done?

- Puppies and kittens: More frequent check-ups in the first year for vaccinations and growth monitoring. - Adult (1–7 years): Once a year with a general examination plus routine blood and urine tests. - Senior (cats 8+, dogs 7+): At least twice a year with detailed check-ups including blood, urine, X-ray and ultrasound.

What Happens During a Check-Up?

- Physical examination (ears, eyes, teeth, skin, abdomen, listening to heart and lungs) - Blood tests (organ function, infection screening) - Urine analysis - X-ray or ultrasound if necessary - Vaccination and parasite checks
